ARAMINTA DE CLERMONT Araminta de Clermont is a British born photographer currently living in Cape Town. Her work explores rites of passage, and the visual currencies of group identification and formation. Having gained a Bsc in Architecture, before studying photography at post-graduate level at Central St Martins, she also retains a strong interest in the relationship between the built environment and its immediate inhabitants. "Before Life" her second solo show, follows "Life After", which was exhibited at Joao Ferreira Gallery, and at ArtSpace, Berlin. She has participated in group shows in The USA, and The UK, and will be part of a group show in South Africa later this year, which is due to travel to Norway next year.
